The e-visa is the type of visa that you can easily apply online. It will only take a few minutes of your time and will simply require you to fill out a form. What’s great about the visa is that you don’t need to show up at the embassy or personally submit your requirements. Even the requirements can simply be submitted online. And after around 3 – 5 business days, you will get an email informing you of the status of your visa! It’s fast, easy, and definitely convenient to apply.

What You Need to Know About the Vietnam e-Visa for Citizens of Moldova

The Vietnam e-visa is basically an online version of the standard visa that the Vietnam Immigration would issue to foreigners entering their country. Take note that this visa is not applicable to all nationalities. There are only about 80 countries that qualify for this visa, and Moldova happens to be one of them.

Country list for Vietnam e-visa

The e-visa is a single-entry visa, which means you can only use it once to enter Vietnam. While you’re in the country, the visa will only allow you to stay for a maximum of 30 days. If you’re staying beyond the 30-day period, then you’ve got to extend your visa through an agency that can sponsor your stay in the country.

Once you have received a PDF copy of the e-visa, you are required to print it and bring a physical copy of the visa on your trip. This is what you will show the immigration officer so you can enter Vietnam.

E-Visa Vietnam Requirements

Just like with applying for any type of visa, you are required to submit certain requirements in order to complete your application. So here are the requirements you need to submit:

  • Passport that’s valid for at least 6 months from your entry date to the country. You need to upload a scanned copy of the passport in a jpeg file during your visa application.
  • International credit card or debit card. Since the processing of your visa is done online, you will have to pay for it online as well. Therefore, you need to have a Visa, MasterCard, or any International card that you can use for the payment. The processing fee should cost you around $20 – $40 and this is non-refundable. This means that if your visa application is rejected or if you decide not to push through with your trip, you can no longer get back the money you paid.
  • Valid email address. Applicants for the Vietnam e-visa must provide an email address during the application. This is where you will receive updates regarding the status of your visa. If your visa is approved, you will be sent an email with a link that you need to click in order to download a copy of your e-visa. So it’s very important that you enter your email address correctly.
