First, you need to get in touch with your sponsor company in Vietnam. This is the company that will invite you into the country and asks permission from the Local People’s Committee. Here’s how to apply for a business visa to Vietnam these days:

1. Your sponsor company must inform the Local People’s Committee about your visit. So if you plan to go to Hanoi for business, then they should send the letter to the Local People’s Committee of Hanoi. The letter should state the reason for your visit and other important details about your business transactions in Hanoi.
2. If the Local People’s Committee will approve your visit, they will give a travel permit to your sponsor company. They will also coordinate with the local health authorities to arrange your quarantine facility.
3. Next, your sponsor company should now apply for your business visa. When applying for the visa, the travel permit should be submitted along with the other requirements.
4. If the Vietnam Immigration Department will approve your visa, they will issue the business visa to your sponsor company. The sponsor company should forward a visa copy to you so you can start booking your flight to Vietnam.

Restrictions and Quarantine When Entering Vietnam During Covid 19

Aside from the business visa, there are several other requirements that travelers to Vietnam should process these days. That’s because the Covid-19 virus is still fast spreading in some other countries and the Vietnamese government does not want to take chances. All foreign visitors arriving at the Vietnam airport will be subjected to a random medical test. Anyone who will manifest symptoms of the Covid-19 disease, such as coughing and fever will immediately be isolated for testing. If the result is positive, the visitor will be taken to a medical facility for treatment. For the other passengers who don’t exhibit any symptoms, they can proceed directly to their waiting vehicle and travel to their respective quarantine facilities.
