Vietnam E-visa for German Passport Holders

They launched the e-visa program that would allow foreigners including German passport holders to apply for their visa online. With this visa option, traveling to Vietnam is now a breeze!

The Vietnam e-visa for German passport holders is a single-entry visa that’s valid for 30 days. It costs $25 and you can pay for it online, using your debit card or credit card. The normal processing time is 3 business days, although you also have an option to get it expedited. However, the rush processing of your visa will cost you more. What You Need To Submit for the E-visa Application

The Vietnam e-visa is currently being offered to citizens of more than 80 countries and that includes Germany. To apply for the visa, you just need to go online, visit the official website of the Vietnam e-visa application and fill out the form. Here are the requirements for the e-visa application of German citizens.

  • German passport that’s valid for at least six months from your arrival date to Vietnam.
  • Passport size photo in white background. It should be in jpeg format and you need to upload the photo during the application. Photo Guide.
  • Valid email address because this is where you will receive information regarding the status of your visa application. Also, when the visa is approved, it will be sent to your email.
  • Credit card or debit card for the payment. If you have a PayPal account, you can also use it to pay for the visa-processing fee.
  • Temporary address in Vietnam: You can provide the name and address of the hotel you are staying in.
  • Date of entry and exit to and from the country.

What To Do After Your E-Visa Application is Approved?

Once your e-visa application is approved, you will receive an email regarding this. You’ll also be given a link to download a copy of your e-visa. So click on the link and enter the code and other details that are required. A PDF copy of your e-visa will open up. All you need to do is to save a copy and print it out.

On your trip to Vietnam, bring the printed copy with you. As you pass through the passport control, give the Immigration officer your e-visa copy along with your passport. The Vietnam immigration officer will check your visa. If everything is okay, your passport will be stamped so you can enter the country.

Tips to Remember During your E-visa Application

Applying for the Vietnam e-visa for German passport holders is so easy. But you should make sure to do it correctly. Otherwise, the processing of your visa will be delayed and you could be at risk of getting denied.

After you fill out the online application form, review the information entered and make sure it is correct. Have your passport beside you and compare the information. Only when you’re certain that everything is correct should you proceed with the application. If you realize after submitting the application that some information is incorrect, make sure you inform them immediately through email.
