What is Vietnam Electronic Visa?

The Vietnam Electronic Visa, also known as e-Visa, is an online version of the Vietnamese visa. Since it’s electronic, the only way to obtain it is by going online. With this visa, there is no longer a need for you to come to an embassy to submit the requirements and pick up the actual visa. Instead, you will be sent an email containing the e-Visa that you need to print and carry on your trip.

The Vietnam e-Visa will allow you to enter Vietnam through airports and land borders. It can also be accepted at some of the seaports in the country. This is a single entry visa that will let you stay in Vietnam for 30 days. The visa can be used for both tourism and business purposes. It’s certainly a great option for travellers who only need to stay short-term in the country. There’s an option to extend the validity of the visa but you can only do so when you’re already in the country.

It is just like an actual visa that you need to carry on your trip and present at the immigration. The only difference is that it has to be applied online and will be sent to you through email as well.

The cost of the e-Visa will pretty much depend on the type of e-visa that you’re applying for. You can opt for a 30-day single entry visa for tourism that will cost you $35.
