How long is the processing for the Vietnam E-visa

The processing time of the Vietnam e-visa will vary greatly. This will usually depend on the number of visa applications that the Vietnam Immigration Dept. needs to process. If it’s the peak season, then you can expect the processing time to take longer than usual. You will also be given an option to choose the processing time of your visa. If you need it faster, then you can expect to pay more. Here are your options:

  1. Standard processing – with this option, your e-visa could be processed in as fast as 3-5 business days.
  2. Rush processing – for this option, your visa will be processed in as fast as 2 business day.
  3. Super rush processing – if you needed the visa very urgently, you can choose the super rush processing option. With this option, you’ll get your visa in same day!

So after you have printed a copy of your e-Visa, all you need to do is to fly to Vietnam. As you arrive at the airport, present your e-visa copy along with your passport to the immigration officer.

To apply for the e-visa, you just need to fill out the form online. Make a payment and wait for a confirmation.

Canadian travelers to Vietnam will be able to use the e-Visa in various ports of entry in the country. Unlike the visa on arrival that you can only use at Vietnam airports, the e-Visa can also be used in some land borders and seaports.
