Vietnam Visa on Arrival for French Passport Holders

If you are French citizen and want to stay more than 15 days, you can apply for Vietnam visa on arrival which allows to stay upto 3 months.

Here is how to apply Visa on arrival for French passport holders

  • You have to fill the online application form with your personal information such as your name, date of birth, passport number, airport, and date of arrival and departure.
  • Pay the processing fee of $6 with your credit or debit card or Western Union. See Vietnam visa fees for update.
  • Once you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • Within a couple of days, you will receive the approval letter in your email. Print and take it with you.
  • Upon arrival, submit the approval letter, your passport, 2 passport size photograph (Photo Guide), and visa stamping fee to the immigration office to get your visa stamped on your passport.

Remember, visa on arrival is applicable for French passport holders to travel by air and not valid for those who travel by cruise and land border crossing. The approval letter is accepted only in the internal airports in Vietnam such as Phu Quoc, Noi Bai, Phu Bai, Cat Bi, Can Tho, Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Tan Son Nhat international airport. So, it is clear if you have traveled by land or cruise and want to stay more in Vietnam for more than 15 days, Visa on Arrival is not for you.
