Visiting one of the eight famous sceneries in Lang Son

Lang Son is a northeast province of Vietnam, 180km from Hanoi. From Gia Lam in Hanoi, tourists travel on Road No. 5 to Thanh Tri Bridge and turn left. Going some 150km, travellers will arrive in Lang Son.

Dubbed one of the eight famed sceneries, Nhi Thanh Cave is one of the historical relics related to the development process of Lang Son. Being looked at from the outside, Nhi Thanh gate is like nothing more than a nearby pagoda gate leaning back to the mountain. There is a small road in front of the pagoda leads to shops selling local alcohol and traditional medicine. If tourists walk inside, they will be curious by Nhi Thanh Cave standing amidst the mountainous town of Lang Son. That is the unique cave in our country. Visitors can take a sightseeing the scenery inside the mountain and go in Tam Giao Temple where created to worship Gautama Buddha, Confucius and Laozi. Apart from precious wooden table, the furniture has been made of rock which is available in the cave.

Nhi Thanh was discovered in the 18th century. Stepping down the staircases and turning left, travelers will enter the cave. Before entering the cave, tourists will pass by Nhat Binh lake provided water from Ngoc Tuyen Stream. When visiting Nhi Thanh , some tourists will see resemblances to Ha Long Bay compared to the hellish roads to take visitors to that particular attraction, the roads to Nhi Thanh are pretty easy. Tourists just have to cross the street to arrive at the site. The cave is 500 meters long but it is like a zigzag touring the inside. The cave is full of stalactites with various shapes and sizes the make guests feel lost in wonderland. Along the cave, there is a small stream. If you listen carefully, you can hear the sounds of fishes swimming in the stream and breath the fresh cool air filling their lungs. On the way out, in the highest peak of the place, you can see the statue of Ngo Thi Si who had the cave clear and restored to make a scenic spot.
