Applying for the Vietnam e-Visa for Kids

The Vietnam e-Visa is currently available to citizens of more than 81 countries (Country list for Vietnam e-visa). If you and your child is a citizen of any of these eligible countries, then you can go online and apply for the e-Visa. There’s no longer a need for you to visit the nearest embassy of Vietnam because everything can be accomplished online.

To apply for the electronic Vietnam visa for children, you just need to access the website of Vietnam Immigration on your mobile phone’s browser. Of course, you can also use your laptop for the e-visa application. Open the application form and fill it out on your kid’s behalf. Make sure you have your child’s passport with you because you will be required to provide information from the passport, such as the passport number, expiration date, and other details.

Make sure you review the details before proceeding to the next page. Remember, if the details are not accurate, your child’s visa might not be approved and the worst thing that can happen is that he or she will not be allowed to enter the country as you arrive at the airport!

The online tourist visa that you can get for Vietnam is valid for only one entry into the country and you can stay for up to thirty days during this time.  The same tourist e-visa cannot be used for leaving and coming to the country one more time.

The usual processing time for Vietnam e-visa for tourist takes anywhere between 24 hours to 72 hours. Only in rare scenarios it can take longer than that.

So far, citizens of 81 countries (Country list for Vietnam e-visa) can apply for a Vietnam e-visa. e-Visa Vietnam allows visitors to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days, with one entry (1 month single entry).

Children who have their own passport should submit a separate application for Vietnam e-visa. Accompanied children who is included in their father or mother’s passport should be in same visa application for Vietnam e-visa with their father or mother.
