Citizens of the United Arab Emirates can now travel to Vietnam but only if they have essential reasons to visit. Examples are UAE businessmen, investors, business managers, and skilled workers.

Portuguese citizens who want to go to Vietnam for business can now apply for a business visa. That’s because the Vietnam Immigration Department has now started accepting visa applications.

Vietnam’s travel entry requirements during this Covid-19 pandemic have greatly changed, often leading to confusion as to who is able to visit the country at the moment. As it stands, Vietnam is open to travellers from all countries, but will only allow the entry of those who are traveling for essential reasons.

Vietnam, one of the few countries in the world that have been successful in managing the Covid-19 pandemic, has cautiously opened its borders since November 2020. Vietnamese authorities have further relaxed their travel restrictions by allowing the entry of businessmen, investors, and other foreign visitors with essential reasons to visit.

Indian businessmen who wish to visit Vietnam during this Covid-19 pandemic can now apply for a business visa. Take note that the only foreign visitors that the Vietnamese authorities will allow are those who are visiting for “essential purposes”, such as foreign businessmen, investors, business managers, and skilled workers.

Germans can now visit Vietnam, but only if their visit to the country is considered “essential”. Like most countries around the world these days, Vietnam is limiting the entry of foreign visitors to fight the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus.

Vietnam has already resumed the processing of visas, but only for visitors whose purpose of the visit is considered essential. For instance, Czech citizens who needed to go to Vietnam for business can now start applying for their business visas.

UK citizens who needed to visit Vietnam these days can do so, for as long as their visit is considered “necessary”. Traveling for leisure or tourism is still not allowed and the Vietnamese government has only allowed the entry of certain types of travelers.

To protect its citizens from the rapid spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus, Vietnam has been quick enough to close its borders when the pandemic started last year. After several months, the Vietnamese government decided to open its borders again to help its economy to recover.
