From 01 Feb, 2019, Citizens of Hong Kong can apply for Vietnam eVisa online. Below is everything you need to know about Vietnam eVisa for citizens of Hong Kong (China).

1/ What is the Vietnam eVisa?

The E-Visa Vietnam is an electronic travel document that is processed and issued online by the Vietnam Immigration Department. The Vietnam evisa allows a maximum stay of 30 consecutive days from the entry date which you choose when you apply online.

2/ How long does it take to process the Vietnam eVisa for Citizen of Hong Kong (China)?

The processing time is 24 working hours, once application is completed and all additional information is available. In some cases it may take up to 72 hours. Rush processing time is available in case you want the evisa Vietnam in urgent case. But extra fee will be charged.

It is strongly recommended to apply at least one week before travelling to Vietnam. This will avoid any trouble with wrong evisa information and avoid high price cause of rush case.

5/ How do I received the Vietnam evisa?

Once your application is approved, your E-Visa will be sent via email in PDF format. You must print at least one copy and have it with you at all times when you travel to Vietnam. You will be required to present the printed E-Visa once you arrive in Vietnam.

6. How to enter Vietnam with an eVisa?

Please prepare documents as below to enter Vietnam with the eVisa

  • – Your original passport
  • – The copy of Vietnam evisa which is printed into paper.

To get the Visa at Moc Bai border checkpoint, you need the original letter (The real letter in paper with the real stamp and signature). This letter is processed and approved by Vietnam Immigration Department.
