This is the company that invites you to Vietnam or the company that you work for. Here’s how the sponsor company can apply for your visa.

1. First, your sponsor company should write a letter to the Local People’s Committee of the city you plan on visiting. So if you are going to Hanoi for business, then the letter should be addressed to the Local People’s Committee of Hanoi asking permission for your visit. If they approve your visit, a travel permit will be issued.
2. Next, your sponsor company should now start applying for your business visa by submitting the travel permit. Aside from the travel permit, your sponsor company will be required to submit some other requirements including your passport and visa application form.
3. After about a week or two, the Vietnam Immigration Department will issue the visa. Your sponsor company should forward the visa copy to you so you can start booking your flight.

Restrictions and Quarantine When Entering Vietnam During Covid 19

• Foreign visitors are also required to show proof of insurance that can pay for the cost of treatment in case they get sick of the Covid-19 virus while in Vietnam. For those who don’t have insurance, their sponsor company must be willing to pay for their hospital fees if they get sick.

When arriving at the airport of Vietnam, all travelers will be subjected to medical checks to determine if they have any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus. Those who are showing symptoms will immediately be isolated for testing. If the test will show that the visitor is positive for the Covid-19 virus, he or she will be taken to a medical facility to be treated. For the other travelers that do not have symptoms, they can proceed to their designated quarantine facilities. However, they must be picked up by a private vehicle since they will not be allowed to take a taxi or other public transportation when heading to their respective hotels.

While undergoing quarantine, all foreign visitors must follow the health measures that the local health authorities of Vietnam have imposed. These include staying isolated at all times and avoiding contact with anyone outside of their hotel room. If they start to develop symptoms like fever and cough, they should call the local health authorities of Vietnam.

While on the sixth day of isolation, the visitor will undergo a Covid-19 test. If it’s positive, they will be taken to a medical facility for monitoring and treatment. But if the result is negative, they can continue with their isolation and be tested again on their last day. They will only be released in isolation if the result is negative again.
