The Covid 19 pandemic has greatly affected the lives of many. It was around the middle of March 2020 when the World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus a worldwide pandemic. Because of this, countries around the world have to implement travel restrictions in order to prevent people from moving and spreading the virus even further. Vietnam is one of those countries that have fought hard to contain the virus. The country has not only canceled flights, but it has also stopped issuing visas to all foreign visitors, including citizens of the United States.

But the visa suspension was only temporary. Now that things are trying to go back to normal, Vietnam is once again inviting foreign visitors into the country and is now accepting visa applications. So for citizens of the US who are visiting Vietnam soon, here’s how you can get a visa.

However, if you want to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days, choose the visa on arrival. This visa will let you apply for the multiple-entry visa with a validity of 90 days. But take note that the visa on arrival will only work if you’re passing through the airport. Otherwise, you might as well choose the e-visa.
