Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Namibia

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Namibia on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports and official passports or service passports. The agreement was signed on November 19, 2013 (not yet in effect)

Have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE 1: HOLDERS OF F PASSPORTS

1.1. Nationals of either Party, who are holders of valid diplomatic, officials or service passports shall be exempted from the visa requirements to enter, depart, transit or stay in the other Party’s territory, provided that such stay does not exceed ninety (90) days from the date of their entry.

1.2. Holders of diplomatic, officials or service passports of either Party who are accredited to carry out duties in its respective diplomatic or consular posts and permanent representation to international organization in the other Party’s territory, shall enter and stay in the territory of the other Party without visa for the period mentioned in paragraph 1.1.

13.. The provisions of paragraph 1.2 of this Article shall also be applied to spouses and children of those persons referred to in Paragraph 1.2 of this Article provided that such members are also holders of diplomatic, official or service passports.

1.4. Within ninety (90) days from the date of entry, the persons referred to in Paragraphs 1.2 and 1.3 of this Article, shall complete the necessary procedures for registration of stay at the competent authorities of the host country.

The government of Vietnam has recently announced that Citizens of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland can now enter Vietnam without a visa for stays of up to 45 days. This means that British passport holders no longer need to obtain a visa in advance to travel to Vietnam.

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The agreement was signed on November 19, 2007, effective from June 15, 2008.

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, official passports/special passports. The agreement was signed on October 23, 2010, effective from July 22, 2011.
