Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Ukraine

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of Ukraine on conditions for mutual visa-free travel of citizens. The agreement was signed on October 21, 1993, effective from December 6, 1993. It was amended and supplemented according to a Diplomatic note sent on December 10, 2003, and responded to the note dated October 6, 2004.

  • Visa exemption is granted to diplomatic and official passport holders for a temporary residence of up to 90 days. Diplomatic missions and consulates may request an extension of the residence period.
  • Visa exemption for seafarer passport holders with a temporary stay of no more than 30 days.
  • Members of diplomatic missions, consulates, international organizations, as well as their spouses, children, fathers, mothers, and other individuals accompanying them with diplomatic or official passports are exempt from visa requirements during their term of service.

The Vietnamese government has recently declared that Swedish citizens are now allowed to enter Vietnam without a visa for a maximum duration of 45 days. This means that Swedish passport holders are no longer required to acquire a visa in advance to visit Vietnam.

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Swiss Federal Council on visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders. The agreement was signed on May 22, 2009, effective on August 16, 2009.

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of South Africa on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The agreement was signed on May 24, 2007, effective from June 23, 2007.
