It might take about 3 to 5 business days for the visa application to get approved.  You have to reach out to the embassy again to collect your approved visa. That is why most travelers do not prefer this process.

Visa on Arrival

Another way to apply for the visa is through the Vietnam visa on arrival. When compared with applying through the embassy, Visa on arrival saves more on your time. All you have to do is apply for the Vietnam visa from anywhere using a device that is connected with internet. Then, enter all the details that are requested on the online application form. After that, you will receive the visa approval letter to your email within five business working days. Simply take a copy of it and present it at the airport to the immigration officials along with your passport.  In this visa type, you will have to wait at the airport in lengthy queues to get the visa stamped. It might waste most of your time and make you tired. Moreover, the visa on arrival method is applicable only for the travelers who travel by air. In case, if you are travelling through sea port or land port, then you cannot use this visa.

  2. Take care, that your passport has at least two blank pages for stamping

  4. Vietnam e-visa stays valid only for 30 days, with the option of single entry visa. So, get back to your country within the specified date. Also, this is not a multiple entry visa, so you cannot get back to your country and come back. You will have to apply for a fresh visa.
