Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Panama

Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Panama on visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports.

Have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE 1

Citizens of one Party holding valid ordinary passports with a minimum validity of six (6) months, may enter into, exit from, transit through and stay in the territory of the country of the other Party without visa for a maximum period of up to ninety (90) days, under the condition that the purpose of the visit is not-for-profit activities.

ARTICLE 2

The citizens of either Party, traveling to the other Party, with the intention of staying in such territory beyond the maximum period provided for in Article 1 of this Agreement, must request the competent authorities of the latter Party to issue appropriate visa in accordance with its internal laws.

The government of Vietnam has recently announced a unilateral decision to exempt citizens of Norway from requiring a visa for entry into the country. This new regulation means that Norwegian passport holders can now travel to Vietnam without the need to obtain a visa in advance, for stays of up to 45 days.

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Kingdom of Oman on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, special passports, and official passports. The agreement was signed on April 28, 2022, effective from January 14, 2023.

According to the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, official passports and special passports. The agreement was signed on November 18, 2004, effective from December 19, 2004.

Note: An agreement was signed on November 2, 2023, between Mongolia and Vietnam, which exempts holders of diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports from visa requirements. The agreement was signed by the Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Battsetseg Batmunkh, and the Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bui Thanh Son.
