Agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports between Vietnam and Cambodia (signed November 30, 1979, effective immediately)
An agreement was signed on November 4, 2008 between the Governments of Vietnam and Cambodia. This agreement was effective from December 5, 2008, and allows for visa exemption for ordinary passport holders. In December 2009, the governments exchanged notes to amend the agreement, increasing the visa exemption period from 14 to 30 days. This change came into effect from January 1, 2010.

On August 26, 2019, an agreement was signed between the Governments of Vietnam and Botswana to exempt visa requirements for diplomatic or official passport holders. The agreement came into effect on October 25, 2019.
On October 25th, 1993, Vietnam and Belarus signed an agreement regarding visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, which became effective on November 24th, 1993. Diplomatic and official passport holders are exempt from visas.
On September 9, 2010, the Governments of Vietnam and Azerbaijan signed an agreement exempting citizens holding diplomatic or official passports from visa requirements. The agreement became effective on August 21, 2010.
