Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Azerbaijan

On September 9, 2010, the Governments of Vietnam and Azerbaijan signed an agreement exempting citizens holding diplomatic or official passports from visa requirements. The agreement became effective on August 21, 2010.

  • Individuals holding valid diplomatic or official passports (service passports for Azerbaijan) from Vietnam or Azerbaijan, as well as their minor family members whose names are recorded in their passports, can enter the country without a visa. The exemption allows for a stay period of up to 01 month.
  • Individuals holding valid diplomatic or official passports who have entered the territory of a foreign country as members of diplomatic missions, consulates, or international organizations, along with their accompanying family members, are required to complete the registration procedures at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country.

On June 8, 2012, the Governments of Vietnam and Armenia signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The agreement became effective on October 11, 2012.

On September 29, 1956, both sides agreed to exchange notes, which became effective on October 1, 1956. The notes related to visa exemption for individuals holding diplomatic and official passports and collective passports on official duty.
