Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Cuba

The Vietnamese and Cuban governments signed an agreement on visa exemption for their citizens on August 31, 1981. The agreement is currently in effect.

  • According to current regulations, Cuban citizens who hold diplomatic, official, service, or maritime passports are permitted to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days without a visa.
  • Visa issuance for other categories of passports is free of charge.

On September 11, 2015, the Governments of Vietnam and Cyprus signed an agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements. The agreement became effective on August 10, 2016.

On October 29, 2009, the Governments of Vietnam and Croatia signed an agreement to exempt diplomatic and official passport holders from visas. The agreement became effective on March 27, 2010.

Agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Chile on visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Signed on October 22, 2003, effective from June 25, 2005.

An agreement signed on December 27, 2017, between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Cameroon grants visa exemption to diplomatic and official passport holders. The agreement came into effect on December 26, 2019.

Agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports between Vietnam and Cambodia (signed November 30, 1979, effective immediately) An agreement was signed on November 4, 2008 between the Governments of Vietnam and Cambodia. This agreement was effective from December 5, 2008, and allows for visa exemption for ordinary passport holders.
