Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Serbia

Inheriting the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Agreement signed on June 5, 2000, effective from September 1, 2000:

  • Visa exemption is granted to holders of diplomatic and official passports for temporary residence of up to 90 days, which can be extended by diplomatic missions and consulates.
  • Members of diplomatic missions, consulates, international organizations, and their family members holding diplomatic or official passports are exempt from visa requirements during their working term.

The government of Vietnam has recently announced a unilateral decision to exempt citizens of Norway from requiring a visa for entry into the country. This new regulation means that Norwegian passport holders can now travel to Vietnam without the need to obtain a visa in advance, for stays of up to 45 days.
